It was an instant connection when Maria answered my model call for a styled maternity photo shoot I was planning in New York City. She was totally onboard with my ideas and had the utmost trust in me. Elegant, timeless, with a bit of boho flair were the words that described the feel I was going for, and I think we nailed it!
I envisioned Maria in a Reclamation gown so I reached out to Chloe at We Are Reclamation and ordered the “In Her Dreams” dress, a total stunner. Nothing says timeless elegance than a vintage antique dress made with the great detail and love. It fit her growing belly perfectly. I also added a fun midi dress from Vici for her to have a variety of looks. Her daughter was in a mustard dress for a pop of color along with some lace and ruffle to compliment momma. Maria’s husband Theo was in grey and light blue that went well beautifully.
I met the family beforehand, something that I absolutely love to do before a photo session. This allows everyone to see my face and get to know me a bit better. I also like to talk about the process and what to expect, this is truly the best way to get everyone comfortable and for me to answer any questions or concerns.
When we arrived at the location, everyone was super excited and ready to have some fun. Baby Litsa was full of energy and decided she had some poses she wanted to show me. We laughed and played with lovely baby’s breath flowers and simply had the best time.
It was an honor to photograph this family. They allowed me to create amazing, honest, beautiful work that I cannot wait to share.
